We hope by sharing the stories of environmental migrants that people will empathize with them, extend solidarity towards them, understand that we are all members of one global community, and create the collective will to change. You can urge government officials to make policy changes that are inclusive of the needs of environmental migrants. However, there are also individual changes you can make in your personal lives that may subsequently impact the livelihoods of environmental migrants.
